Overview: The Women Empowerment through Self-Help Groups project focuses on empowering women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by providing them with the tools to achieve financial independence and social empowerment.
Key Components:
- Formation of Self-Help Groups: We facilitate the creation of self-help groups consisting of women from low-income households. These groups focus on saving, accessing credit, and starting small businesses.
- Economic and Political Empowerment: Women are educated on their rights and encouraged to participate in community decision-making processes, enhancing their influence and leadership roles.
- Support for Child Welfare: Empowered women are better equipped to provide for their children’s education, healthcare, and nutrition, leading to improved family well-being.
Impact: Since 2021, our project has established 53 self-help groups with a total of 1,060 women. These women have improved their economic conditions, supported their families’ needs, and contributed to social and economic development in their communities.
