Advanced Farming Techniques and Inputs

Overview: The Advanced Farming Techniques and Inputs project is designed to support local farmers by improving their agricultural practices and enhancing food security. By providing modern farming tools and techniques, we help farmers achieve greater productivity and sustainability.

Key Components:

  • Training and Education: Farmers receive training on advanced farming techniques, including crop rotation, pest management, and soil conservation.
  • Provision of Inputs: Essential resources such as high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides are distributed to enhance crop yields.
  • Irrigation Support: We provide water engine pumps and other irrigation tools to replace traditional watering methods, allowing farmers to cultivate larger areas and engage in year-round cropping.
  • Winter Cropping: Support for winter cropping enables farmers to grow additional crops during the off-season, boosting their income and food supply.

Impact: Over the past two years, we have assisted 150 farmers in Lilongwe and Mzimba. This support has led to improved crop yields, enhanced food security, and greater economic stability for participating farmers.
